A Welcome Proper to West End Lane Books’ Blog

Finally, after many years' planning and hoping, West End Lane Books is going to get the website it deserves, and hopefully to produce the content that our customers desire.

We will use this website as a portal to our specially chosen and dynamic stock, and will use this blog to highlight both what we think is great and notable in the world of books, and also what is great and notable in the world of West Hampstead.

We are happy to listen to your opinions also about what you want from this website and blog, so please do contact us either at the email address above, or using our contact form, and we will do our best to respond and to tailor our content to your needs. Also, please do contact us if you are having any events in the West Hampstead area of a literary bent, and would like a plug from us. Beware though, we will ask the same in return.

One of the features that will be a regular on our blog will be to talk about our favourite smaller or independent publishers, and to give them the attention that we feel that they deserve. Another feature will be to profile, and perhaps interview our many local authors, as well as our favourite less well-known authors. But basically we will write anything that we find interesting at the time, and hope will be to yourselves, from the latest title to the latest literary gossip and news from around the world.

We will also advertise our events, discount days, and occasional special 'Blog-Only' discounts for the initiated. Please check back regularly or subscribe to our feed if any of this interests you. How could you resist?

All of this will start properly in the New Year, once we have refilled our tanks after the holidays, so please keep tuned!

The last thing for now would be to thank a certain member of staff who has created this site from scratch, and without whom the project would have stayed a twinkle in a bookseller's eye.
