News Update

Apologies for the length of time between posts, particularly if you've been a subscriber! There have been several significant changes here at West End Lane Books during the first few months of 2009. Perhaps the most exciting development is our new 2 for £10 section, which features a host of carefully chosen titles for great value (some of which are very recent publications and others that are quite simply excellent reads). If bargains are of special appeal, you may well be interested in our expanded sale section (now spread across two bays and a display table, next to the children's section) containing a plethora of titles from both the US and UK, covering a variety of genres and incorporating many quirky, as well as essential items, with some excellent gift choices.

Our website has now come on quite a way since the inaugural post. Our gallery page is now up and running, and will periodically be refreshed with photos from recent events and eventually be expanded into a fully-fledged visual archive of interesting proceedings and changes at the shop.

We now have a dedicated page (which may well expand into a small archive of pages) detailing any coverage of West End Lane Books in the media. Recently an excellent review on Londonist.com seems to have highlighted us on both the Greater London map and on the web.

We are, of course, still labouring away to bring you the eventual launch of our online shop later this year. Watch this space for any further updates!

In addition to the feed for this blog, you may also wish to subscribe to our news and events feed, which we update as and when any special promotions or readings are due to take place. To leave any comments, feedback or any general queries relating to our website or this blog, please contact web@westendlanebooks.co.uk; we'd be more than happy to hear from you.
